Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Althea Artists ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including clients seeking services and artists offering services.

Platform Description

Althea Artists is a booking and discovery platform that connects clients with cosmetic and paramedical tattoo artists. We facilitate the booking process, payment handling, consent form management, and review system. We are not a healthcare provider and do not perform any cosmetic or paramedical procedures.

User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts.

Artist Responsibilities

Artists using the Platform agree to:

• Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and insurance for their jurisdiction.
• Provide accurate information about their services, qualifications, and pricing.
• Honor confirmed bookings or provide reasonable notice of cancellation.
• Obtain proper client consent before all procedures.
• Follow all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Respect the photo consent tier selected by each client.

Client Responsibilities

Clients using the Platform agree to:

• Provide accurate health and medical information on intake forms.
• Arrive on time for scheduled appointments.
• Follow pre-appointment and aftercare instructions provided by their artist.
• Submit honest and fair reviews based on actual experiences.

Bookings and Payments

• Deposits are required to confirm bookings and are processed through Stripe.
• Cancellation and refund policies are set by individual artists and displayed at the time of booking.
• The Platform charges a service fee on transactions, disclosed before payment.
• Althea Artists is not responsible for disputes between clients and artists regarding the quality of services rendered.

Reviews

Only clients with completed appointments may leave reviews. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and not contain abusive language. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines. Artists may respond to reviews publicly.

Intellectual Property

All platform content, including design, logos, and software, is owned by Althea Artists or its licensors. Artists retain ownership of their portfolio images. By uploading content, you grant us a license to display it on the Platform for its intended purpose.

Limitation of Liability

Althea Artists provides a platform for connecting clients and artists. We are not liable for the outcome of any cosmetic or paramedical procedure. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid to us in the twelve months preceding any claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Users may delete their accounts at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases, though certain provisions (such as limitation of liability) survive.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
